It is with a heavy heart that we wish to inform you that our dear friend, Iqbal Ahmad, passed away yesterday, October 31, 2018. Inna Lillah-e wa inna ilayhi Raji’oon.
He was from among the few who established the Cary Masjid. From the very first day of the existence of the Cary Masjid, his presence was ever felt – in the congregational prayers, at the religious lectures and meetings, at social gatherings, casual get-togethers, and lately at the Carrom Board games. It would not be an exaggeration to say that he was a key “building block” of the Cary Masjid and the Muslim community at large in the Triangle area. He will be missed.
May Allah grant him Maghfirah and place him in Jannatul Firdaus. And May Allah give sabr to his family and friends. Ameen!
Salat-al Janaza will be held today, November 1, 2018, following the Dhuar prayers (1:30 pm) at the IAR Masjid. Immediately following it, the burial will take place at IAR Cemetery.
